S. Y. Bancorp, Inc., with $1.4 billion in assets, was incorporated in 1988 as a bank holding company. It is the parent company of Stock Yards Bank & Trust Company which was established in 1904 in Louisville, Kentucky, and now has offices in metropolitan Louisville and Indianapolis. The Company's stock is traded on NASDAQ under the symbol SYBT.

Several factors distinguish S.Y. Bancorp from other banks, both in terms of performance and products. In 2006, the Company reported record net income, extending its trend of higher earnings for 19 consecutive years. These results translated into returns on average assets and equity of 1.69% and 17.35%, respectively, for the year. Consistently at these high levels, S.Y. Bancorp continues to rank as one of the top-performing banks in the industry. In the area of products, the Company's trust and investment operations, with $1.6 billion in assets under management, differentiate S.Y. Bancorp sharply from many competitors. It recently ranked among the country's 100 largest bank trust companies.

Currently, S.Y. Bancorp is planning to open its second office in Indianapolis later in 2007, following on its entry into this market a few years ago and demonstrating the portability of its service-oriented, customer-centered business model. The Company also is examining the prospect of introducing Stock Yards Bank & Trust to the Cincinnati market.
