Ralph G. Gronefeld, Jr. is president and chief executive officer of ResCare (NASDAQ/NM: RSCR), a publicly traded human services company based in Louisville, Ky. ResCare is the nation's leading provider of residential, training, therapeutic, educational and support services for people with disabilities and special needs.

Mr. Gronefeld also serves as the president of the company's largest business line, the Community Services Group, serving people with developmental and other disabilities through a broad spectrum of community-based programs; children through residential and foster care; and the elderly through in-home services.

During his years with ResCare Mr. Gronefeld has held positions in nearly all areas of the company. He served as President, Community Services Group effective March 2002; Executive Vice President-Operations of that Division from March 2001. He also served as ResCare's Chief Financial Officer from May 1998 until March 2001. Mr. Gronefeld previously served as Executive Vice President of Operations for the Division for Youth Services and Vice President responsible for ResCare's Alternative Youth Services and Youthtrack subsidiaries. Mr. Gronefeld joined ResCare in June 1995 as Director of Internal Audit. From July 1995 through March 1996, he served as interim senior administrator for ResCare's west region in its Community Services Group. He is a member of ResCare's corporate executive leadership team.

Before joining ResCare, Mr. Gronefeld, a certified public accountant served as president of Total Color, a graphic arts firm. He holds a bachelorÕs degree in accounting from Bellarmine College, Louisville, Kentucky.

Mr. Gronefeld and his wife, Linda, reside in Louisville. They have two children, Jake and Robbie.

David W. Miles is the executive vice present and chief financial officer of ResCare (NASDAQ/NM: RSCR), a publicly traded human services company based in Louisville, Ky. ResCare is the nation's leading provider of residential, training, therapeutic, educational and support services for people with disabilities and special needs.

Mr. Miles joined ResCare in March 1998 as Director of Reporting and was Controller from 2001 through 2005. He is a member of ResCare's corporate executive leadership team.

Before joining ResCare, Mr. Miles, a certified public accountant, spent ten years with Ernst & Young, LLP. Mr. Miles holds a BBA degree from Eastern Kentucky University.

Mr. Miles and his wife, Lisa, reside in Louisville. They have two children, Rachael and Sydney.
