Presenter - Jean R. Hale, Chairman, President and CEO

Jean R. Hale exemplifies the opportunities that are available to employees who start with a small company and grow with the company.Ms. Hale has been with Community Trust for 43 years and has participated in the growth of the Corporation from $17 million in assets to $3.4 billion in assets.Ms. Hale assumed her current position as President and CEO of Community Trust Bancorp, Inc. in 1999 and added the position of Chairman of the Board in 2005.She is also the Chairman of the Board of the Corporation's two subsidiaries, Community Trust Bank, Inc. and Community Trust and Investment Company.

During her tenure with the corporation, Ms. Hale has served in various capacities including President & CEO of the company's bank subsidiary.   Ms. Hale is very active in economic development and education initiatives.Currently, Ms. Hale is Chairman of the Kentucky Economic Development and Finance Authority Board, a member of the Kentucky Economic Development Partnership Board and serves on the boards of Commonwealth Seed Capital, ARH Foundation and Pikeville College.Previously, Ms. Hale served as Chairman of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the KCTCS Foundation Board and as Director of the Cincinnati Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland for six years.   A native of Pike County, Kentucky, Ms. Hale is a graduate of Pikeville College and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.   Ms. Hale lives in Pikeville and has a son, daughter-in-law and two granddaughters residing in Nashville, TN.

Presenter - Mark A. Gooch, Executive Vice President and Secretary

Mark A. Gooch is Executive Vice President and Secretary of Community Trust Bancorp, Inc. and President and CEO of Community Trust Bank, Inc.Mr. Gooch is responsible for the operation of the Bank and all major areas of the Bank report to him including four Regional Presidents, Finance, Legal, Credit Administration, Information Technology and Operations.Mr. Gooch is a Director of Community Trust Bank, Inc. and Community Trust and Investment Company.  

Mr. Gooch has 29 years of banking experience and has held the positions of Branch Manager, Consumer Lender, Commercial Lender, Compliance Officer, Chief Operations Officer, Director, President and CEO, all at First Security Bank and Trust which was acquired by Community Trust Bancorp, Inc. in 1987.Mr. Gooch was responsible for the Operations area for Community Trust Bancorp, Inc. from January 1997 until June 1999 when he assumed his current role as President and CEO of Community Trust Bank, Inc.  

Mr. Gooch graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in Finance and has served on the Board of Directors of Leadership Pike County, Pike County Chamber of Commerce and the Kentucky Bankers Association.He was recently named a director of the Financial Institutions Board by Governor Beshear and serves on the National Advisory Council for the Christian Appalachian Project.

   He lives with his wife in Pikeville, Kentucky and they have a son and two daughters.
