Churchill Downs Incorporated (“CDI”), headquartered in Louisville, Ky., owns and operates world-renowned horse racing venues throughout the United States. The Company’s racetracks in California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky host 114 graded-stakes events and host many of North America’s most prestigious races; including the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks, Hollywood Gold Cup and Arlington Million. Presenter – William C. Carstanjen Executive Vice President, Chief Development Officer

William C. Carstanjen joined Churchill Downs Incorporated ('CDI') as an executive vice president and chief development officer in July 2005. A former General Electric Company ('GE') executive, Carstanjen brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his leadership role at CDI, where he is responsible for overseeing the Company's business development and public affairs initiatives.

Most recently, Carstanjen served as general counsel and managing director of GE Commercial Finance Energy Financial Services, one of eight main business divisions of Commercial Finance with over $12 billion in assets and more than $300 million in annual net income. During his five years with GE, Carstanjen worked as lead lawyer for two different GE divisions and led negotiations of a number of structured transactions, acquisitions and dispositions. Carstanjen also served as transactions and finance counsel to the company's corporate offices.

A graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, Carstanjen received his law degree from Columbia University in New York and was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.


Presenter – Michael W. Anderson Vice President, Corporate Finance and Treasurer

Michael W. Anderson assumed his duties as Churchill Downs Incorporated's ('CDI') vice president of corporate finance in January 2002. His chief responsibilities include overseeing CDI's internal and external financial reporting, annual profit planning, capital planning and forecasting. He also coordinates tax return preparation and external audits for the Company.

Prior to his tenure at CDI, Anderson served as a public accountant for Coopers & Lybrand (now Pricewaterhouse Coopers) and included Churchill Downs among his clients. He gained a wide range of experience by performing audits in various industries, including property and casualty insurance, accident and health insurance, health care, not-for-profits and retail. He joined Churchill Downs as a controller in November 1996 and was promoted to the position of corporate controller for CDI in 1999.

Anderson is actively involved as volunteer in the Louisville, Ky., community. He currently serves as a director on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentucky, having previously served the nonprofit organization for three years as its treasurer.

Anderson holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky and is a certified public accountant.
